Packaging films are often used to wrap food-related products like produce, meats, candy bars, snack bars, frozen or microwavable foods. The wrappings are referred to as films.
First, the plastic pellets are heated up. Next, they are melted down. Finally, it is extruded to form the plastic film. Interestingly, the film can be clear, opaque or high gloss and made from polypropylene, and polyethylene styles of film.
The importance of barriers in packaging films
Some packaging films offer high-barrier properties such as laminated metallized films. As a result, they provide protective properties for food items requiring restrictive visibility. Therefore, this will increase the product’s shelf-life and freshness.
We offer a wide variety of films that can go hand-in-hand with whatever you are producing and will work with you no matter the application.
