How UV Protective Bags Work
UV protective bags are made from AMBR translucent material or opaque polypropylene film infused with UV inhibitors. These additives absorb or reflect ultraviolet radiation before it reaches the product inside, blocking 90% of UV(a) and UV(b) rays. Without this protection, UV exposure degrades polypropylene over time — weakening seals, fading print and, for light-sensitive contents, accelerating chemical breakdown. Choosing the right UV protective bag comes down to matching the material, opacity and additive level to how long the product will be exposed and how sensitive it is to light.
